Good Morning My Squirts,

I hope you all had a good weekend. I’m sorry the snow didn’t last long enough for you to build snowmen on Saturday. Maybe we will have some more another day.

WELL DONE to THE WHOLE CLASS for the many compliments I was given last week about how well you worked and behaved during the time I was shielding. It was nice to hear.

Also, WELL DONES to Freya, Nojus, Harper, Logan, Dolcie and Mylah who have all completed reading books this week.

A  SPECIAL WELL DONE goes to Freddie who has read 9 books a week for the last 2 weeks. What a great example to the rest of the class Freddie.

SPELLINGS:

These are the words you need to practise this week for your test on Friday. I’ve cut down on the number this week because, slap my wrist, I forgot to give them to you on Friday.

new. knew, nephew.

toe, foe, heroes.

launch, haunted, automatic.

money, donkey, chimney.

You know from the practise we did last Friday that the spellings are becoming more difficult because we are introducing alternative sounds and you will have to practise them in order to learn them.

There are also some activities on EdCity.

For Those Isolating.

Children who are well but have to isolate are expected to continue their learning at home where possible. Please do not get worried  if you cannot complete everything. Do what you can!

This is a suggested timetable for your day:

8.45 – 9.00 – spelling/times table practise

9.00 – 10.00 – Maths

10.00 – 10.15 – Have a break and a well-earned snack!

 10.15 – 10.35 – Phonics

10.35 – 11.30 – English

11.30 – 12.00 – Reading and  handwriting practise
