What have we been doing this week?

On Monday children had their swimming lesson and Mr Holmes was very pleased with the children’s progress – Well done!

On Tuesday we started learning about ‘The Great Fire of London’. We  enjoyed watching a video showing how quickly the fire spread. Then we we learnt  when the fire started, where the fire started and why the fire spread so quickly. We linked our learning in Design and Technology in which we have finished our Tudor Houses.

Here are a few pictures of our finished houses.

PE – Unfortunately we were unable to have our lesson outside due to the very wet weather. Instead, Mrs Woods completed a cosmic yoga session in the classroom. The children all had a great time.

We have continued with our work on subtraction. We have used different resources to help us including subtracting using a number line.

In English we have started learning to write Instructions.

We will continue next week using our model text ‘How to Catch an Alien!.

Finally we have started Christmas! Sorry if your child comes home with  green hands you will find out why at the end of term!

Have a lovely weekend!
