Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely break despite the rather wet and windy weather.
We have lots of fun activities planned this half term which leads up to the Christmas period.
Here is what we are learning this week…
Maths – Addition and Subtraction
Y1 – Unit 3, lessons 1,2,3,4,and 5
We will be adding one and two digit numbers using a variety of maths resources to help us (bead strings, tens frame, numicon, multilink cubes).

Please continue to count in ones, twos, fives and tens.
Phonics
This week we are learning the phase 5 sounds -oy, ou, ie and ea

Continue to read the next books allocated to you on Active Learn. Please read for at least 10 minutes every day!
Spellings
day, way, say, play, stay
Please practise spelling the words ending in the ay sound. Can you write a sentence too!
English
This week we are starting to learning our model text – ‘Whatever Next’. Please listen to the story and get an adult to help you read and learn the text.
