Welcome back Holkham I hope you have all had a lovely half term and are ready to jump into our learning with enthusiasm.

This week we will be beginning to explore texts with suspense. What is suspense? Watch this short video where Mrs Emery explains what suspense is.

Write your Cold Task – this week in school we will be writing our cold task, our ‘have a go’ task. Have a go at writing a story at home that contains suspense. You could use one of the pictures below to help you think of some ideas.

This half term we will be continuing our topic ‘From Land’s End to John O’Groats’. This week, we will be recapping on the United Kingdom and then move on to exploring the different between physical and human geography.

In R.E. this week we are looking at how Jesus is a rescuer

Can you tell me how Jesus is seen by some as being our Rescuer. 


Can you write a paragraph about how Jesus is a rescuer or Saviour

Saviour can be seen as another word for rescuer.

Watch this clip of Jesus being a rescuer to Zacchaeus. Can you identify what Jesus said or did that made the big difference in Zacchaeus’ life? What do they think was the turning point of the story?
