Number & place value in Year 4 (age 8–9)
Spellings
This week we will be exploring the wonderful world of the ‘prefix’. We will recap some spelling patterns from year 3 and then explore the ‘in’ prefix. Here are our spelling words for this week.

In English this week we will be writing our own recount texts. We will be using a boxing up grid to plan our recount. Use this grid to help you with your plan –

This week we continue to explore forces. We will be learning about friction and how this can effect the speed of a moving object. We will be setting up an investigation to see how different surfaces effect the speed of a toy car.
