Good Morning Holkham,

I hope you’ve had a fantastic week – I can see you’ve been working really hard. Remember, if you’re stuck for something to do, you can still use this week’s ‘Home Learning Grid’ over the weekend – find it here… Year 3 and 4 29.6.20. Thank you for reading with your grown ups for 10 minutes every day.

Learning Celebrations

Freya has been really busy over the past few weeks. Looking at the joints of the body, considering what it would be like to me a super hero and showcasing amazing progress in her writing.

David has been working hard in Maths this week – perserving with telling the time. He’s also been researching Mount Vesuvius and creating a brilliant 3D model of a Roman chariot. Samson the 14-year-old cat was has been trying to distract David form his work with epic levels of cuteness! 🙂

It was lovely to hear from Carina this week. She has been working very hard despite her broken arm and is producing beautiful artwork and visiting the beach with her family.

Brayden has had a creative week. Not only has we worked so hard on his English and Science, he has really be studying Mount Vesuvius’ destructive impact. He has even built his own erupting volcano. Have a look at the picture below – it’s amazing!

Borislav has produce a fantastic amount of writing this week and show great progression in his recognition of the proprieties of 2D and 3D shapes.

George has been busy learning about Mount Vesuvius too and working hard on problem solving Mathematical Mass questions, as well as, writing and drawing volcanic diagrams.

Final Messages

I would really like to create a video of members of the class sharing some of their memories from their time in Holkham. I’m going to upload a few photos from our blog to serve as reminders but I would love it if they could send me a very short video of them sharing a memory. To send a video you can use the file sharing website WeTransfer and send it to my email address [email protected]estacademy.com.

Remember that you can (but do not have to) access learning resources from The Oak National Academy and BBC Bitesize which they are adding to daily.

Hope you have a great weekend,

Mr Sellers
