Thornham 19th June

Hello Thornham Class!

I hope that you are well and have been working hard on the Home Learning Grid this week. I have been busy teaching the Red Bubble in school as well as other jobs at home, such as gardening, cooking and walking my dog (in the rain!)

First of all its a BIG shout out to all members of the Red bubble this week!

They all have been fantastic in all of their learning this week. In maths we have been learning multiplication and learning lots of new vocabulary such as –  arrays, columns, rows and repeated addition. Well done!

We have completed all of the activities on the learning grid including learning the English text ‘Meerkat Mail’. We think we now know this  very well and we created our own story maps as well as answering comprehension questions about the text.

We also made our own ‘levers’ in Design and Technology for Jack, in Jack and the Beanstalk.

We completed a Joe Wicks PE session indoors as it was raining very hard and we also had an outside lesson using various equipment and taking part in obstacles courses.

Perhaps a highlight of the week was watching a live  assembly led by HRH The Duchess of Cambridge. We learnt about the importance of being kind. You can watch the assembly on

Indi and Ella made some great levers for their D and T.PE with Joe Wicks!

Don’t forget – you can email me photos/videos of your home learning and it doesn’t just have to be work you have completed from the Home Learning Grid. It’s great to see what you have been up to and share it with your class.

Have a great weekend! have fun in the sun and keep safe.
