Snettisham and Heacham 1st June

Good morning my lovelies!

I’m a bit excited because I am back to school today.  I can’t wait to see my friends!

(You aren’t.  Your parents will know when you are back!)

I’m a bit nervous because I’m back to school today. It’s not going to be the same.  I’m going to be in a different classroom and things will be in different places. I don’t really know what I’m doing today until we know about all the new rules.

I’m a bit worried because I’m back to school today.  I’ve got used to being at home, I have my home routines and my family and my cats and dogs and snakes and I don’t know if I want to go out to the Big World.  What if I’ve forgotten how to teach?

I’m a bit grumpy because I’m back to school today.  I like choosing what I want to do, when I want to do it!  I like saying “I’ve done some work, now I’ll bake a cake.” or “I’ll phone my friend after I’ve written to the children.”  I can’t talk to my mum in the middle of the day at school!

I’m a lot happy because I’m going back to school today.  I like my job, I love the building and think it’s beautiful (I know how silly that sounds, but I do!) and I love being with you lot!

Now I have a choice.  Shall I think about the things that make me uncomfortable, or shall I think about the comfortable feelings?  Well, I have to go back, so I can either focus on the nervous and worried and grumpy feelings, or I can focus on the excited and happy feelings. Whichever ones I focus on will be the ones that get bigger, a bit like a blowing up a balloon.

I’m choosing…..

the excited and happy feelings!

That sounds like the best plan.  I’m going to make my sandwiches and think about all the good things I love about school.  That way I’ll make my happy and excited feelings even bigger!

If you are coming soon, I’ll look forward to seeing some of you.  If you aren’t coming soon, I’ll look forward to messages from you and keeping in touch with  you.  I’ll keep putting the BBC lessons up every day, and there’s a new home learning grid for this week, and I’ve done the EdCity and BugClub sites ready for you.

Here are the Home Learning Grids for this week.

Reception Home Learning Grid

Year 1 and 2 Home Learning Grid

Today is also “Say Something Nice” Day!  Who could you say nice things to?

It’s also “Happy Monday Day”, “Go Barefoot Day” and “World Milk Day” and “National Tabletop Gaming” Day.

Today (as it’s Monday) take off your shoes, have a drink of milk, play a board game with someone else and tell them how great they are!  All the days, done in one!

Have a lovely day, and I will see you when I see you,

(But still wash your hands!)
