The children got to learn all about the life of evacuees, the role of women in the Land Army, being a signaler in the Navy and how to use Morse Code. Also, they got to handle original resources from World War 2, such as gas marks, as well as learning how people had to ‘Make do & Mend’ and be creative with their cooking in the time of rationing.
